Welcome to the Legislative Assembly Law Library About every 20 years, Tonga produces a new consolidated and revised set of its current laws. In 1988, the Legislative Assembly commissioned, NEIL JAMES ADSETT, B.A./LL.B (Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland) to consolidate all the Laws of Tonga into a 5 volume 1998 edition. From 1989 onwards, the Laws passed by the Legislative Assembly are not consolidated, so care must be taken to cross reference any new Acts, amendments or repeals passed after 1988 with the Consolidated 1988 edition.
