About Parliament:

Are Journals of the Proceedings (Hansards) available on the Internet?

Hansards are not currently available on-line but work is currently in progress to make it available on-line at not more than 3 days after it is recorded.  However, Hansards are also are available at the Parliamentary Library the day after it is recorded.

Are legislation available on-line?

Legislation maybe viewed at our legislation page.  Bills will be available soon.

 
Is the Legislative Assembly part of the Executive?

The Legislative Assembly is an independent body separate from the executive government,  For more information, see Information.

 

What role does the legislative Assembly play?

The Legislative Assembly is the institution where is is either made or repealed.  It is the House where all policies and laws are debated. See, Information.

 

How is the Legislative Assembly in Tonga different from other countries?

How do I find information about Committees or get Committee transcripts?

Committee transcripts are not available on-line, but work is currently in progress to make such transcripts and committee reports available as soon as possible.  For more information on committees, see, Committees.
