The Hon. Minister for Internal Affairs, Lord Vaea, is currently in London for the 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting.

The five-day meeting started on Monday with the theme ‘Aim Higher: Delivering More for Young People in the Commonwealth’.

One of the issues raised during the meeting was the need to invest in and promote young people’s development.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Commonwealth Youth Programme.

The Commonwealth Youth Programme has been supporting member countries with youth development work for decades and 2023 is dedicated to empowering youth.

The meeting is attended by ministers responsible for youth, senior officials, High Commissioners, accredited organizations, youth leaders and others.
