Hon. Ma'afu Tukui'aulahi was appointed as the Minister for Environment in July 2009. He was the Number 2 Nobles' Representative of the the Tongatapu Group before his Appointment to Cabinet.
Hon. Ma'afu served the Tonga Defence Services as a commissioned officer for over twenty years years. He was appointed as the Private Secretary to His Majesty the King in 2001 before his retirement in 2006.
Hon. Ma'afu Tukui'aulahi was elected in the 2008 General Election as the Nobles' Representative Number 2 for the Tongatapu Group serving his first ever term as Member of Parliament.
Hon. Ma'afu is the leader of the Ha'a Havealahi's Clan which is one of the most powerful Clan in Tonga.
