HM King dissolves parliament

His Majesty King Tupou VI has officially dissolved the Legislative Assembly of Tonga effective at 5pm yesterday. According to a Tongan Government gazette issued from the Attorney General's Office, the dissolution of Parliament is after having considered an advice from the Speaker Lord Tu'ivakano. The next general election is to be held no later than November 16, 2017.
