THE Parliamentary visit continues this week with members of parliament visiting their respective constituencies in Tongatapu and the outer islands.
The two weeks annual Parliamentary visit, which began last week is aimed at giving MP’s opportunity to hold meetings with their electorate to hear their voices on matters concerning their daily lives.
Cabinet Ministers and Nobles representatives are also taking part in the visits giving people chance to hear first hand from their representatives and answer some of their concerns and matters affecting them.
Parliamentary visit is also a chance for MPs to visit government ministries, statutory boards and departments. Today, MP’s will also call on government ministries including Health Ministry, Tonga Power Board and Foreign Affairs. They will also visit the Audit Department and Prison tomorrow, Finance and Police Ministry on Thursday before wrapping up their final visit to the Ministry of Education, Women Affairs and Culture, Agricultural and Fisheries Ministry on Friday (July 15).
