Two Members of the Legislative Assembly were sworn in when the House reconvened at 10am in Nuku’alofa today.

They are Nobles' Representative of ‘Eua, Lord Nuku and Tongatapu 2 constituency MP, Sēmisi Sika.

Sika was also appointed as Chairperson of the Whole House Committee.

These parliamentarians were absent when all Members took their oath when the House was in session in January.

Meanwhile, Parliament is expected to discuss various items on the agendas including reports from eight Standing Committees, an external independent audit report on the Tonga Office of the Auditor General for years ending on June 30th 2009 - 2013.

The Ministry of Education and Training annual report for 2013 and two official Members’ trip are also tabled in for consideration of the House.

The House is expected to sit for one week.
