The Office Legislative Assembly of Tonga wishes to clarify that not all of the 22 Acts that were passed by Parliament in its 2021 session have been submitted to His Majesty, King Tupou VI, in order to seek His Majesty’s consideration for Royal Assent.
THE Lord Speaker of Parliament today officially opened the ‘She Leads Fale Alea’ ‘o Tonga 2021 hosted by the Legislative Assembly of Tonga in partnership with Take The Lead Tonga. This event coincided with the commemoration of International Day of the Girl, held annually on October 11.
Applications for the upcoming Tonga Youth Parliament (TYP) 2021 and Tonga Women Parliament (TWP) will close this Friday, October 15 at 4:30pm.
OCTOBER 4 - The Tonga Parliament Office is partnering with UN agencies UNICEF, UNFPA, and UNDP Pacific Office, and Take the Lead Tonga, to deliver public outreach and awareness activities under the theme “Our Parliament - Bringing Parliament to You”.
The activities will run from October to early November.
