THE Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, ​Lord Fakafanua today presented 90 laptops to four secondary schools including Tupou College, Queen Salote, Takuilau, Tailulu and Tonga Girls Guide thanks to the generous contribution of ‘Akanesi Mataitonga Trust and Moana Trust of New Zealand. 

30 laptops were donated for Tupou College, 18 for Queen Salote College, Takuilau with 13, 20 for Tailulu College and 9 for Tonga Girls Guide.

His Majesty King Tupou VI attended the State Funeral for Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, 19th September, in the United Kingdom.

“The Kingdom of Tonga Reopens for Business” What does this mean for you? was the theme of an event hosted by the New Zealand Business Council and the New Zealand Tonga Business Council. The event coincided with the Tongan Language week in New Zealand.

The Electoral Commission has confirmed 13 registered candidates including three females to run for the vacant seats for Tongatapu 4, 6 & 7 constituencies in Parliament.
