THE Legislative Assembly today passed 10 Constituency Reports for 2022/2023.
These includes Tongatapu 1 constituency, 3, 6, 9 (2022&2023), 10, ‘Eua 11, Ha’apai 12, Vava’u 14, 15 and 16.
The annual parliamentary visit reports shared common issues which are problems highlighted during the constituency visits. Issues of concern includes water system, road repair and maintenance, streetlights, education, agriculture and fisheries, drugs related problems and the need to empower women’s economic activities.
Every year, legislators visit their electorates and hold public forum aims to hear what urgency matters that directly impacts the people’s daily living.
The annual parliamentary visit is conducted according to Rules 20 of the Rules of Procedure of the Legislative Assembly.
