THE Legislative Assembly of Tonga will resume sitting next Monday, August 1, 2022. This will be the first sitting since the House passed the 2022/2023 National Budget in June.
The Agenda for the sitting includes 17 Regulations and 10 Government Annual Reports.
Parliament is expected to discuss and further scrutinise Government Public Bills.
Meanwhile MPs are also scheduled to undertake the annual constituency visits from August 15-31.
It is an opportunity for the legislators to speak with their electorates on issues impacting their daily lives that needs Government and Parliament’s attention.
Parliament will also sit from September until the state closing in December.
