MEMBERS of the Legislative Assembly today clapped their hands as a sign of respect when the newly elected Vava’u 14 MP delivered his maiden speech. It is a normal practice conducted in Parliament.
Hon. Dr. Mo’ale ‘Otunuku’s first speech was to endorse his predecessor’s Constituency Visit 2023 Report.
The academic told Parliament since he was not part of the parliamentary visit conducted last year, he felt it was wise for the Whole House Committee to decide on the report.
He then moved that the Report be passed and the Committe of the Whole House approved the 2023 constituency report.
