Public Hearing on the Foreign Investment Bill 2020 continues in Parliament

 The Foreign Investment Bill 2020 was tabled in Parliament in June is aimed to have a foreign investment environment that accomplished multiple goals. 

That is to encourage foreign investment while protecting legitimate local interests and to comply in a fair and transparent manner.

Public hearings on Foreign Investment Bills and Employment Relations

The Legislative Assembly of Tonga’s Standing Committees on Legislation and Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade will begin public hearing tomorrow 21^st of July 2020 on the Foreign Investment Bill 2020.

Parliament passes Traffic Bill 2020 and Roads Bill 2020

THE Legislative Assembly has unanimously passed the Traffic Bill 2020 with amendments including a new requirement for drivers and front seat passengers to wear seat belts.
