Sitting CalendarHIS Majesty King Tupou VI will officially open the 2021 Legislative Assembly session on Thursday, May 6 via livestream.
The King will deliver his Royal Address from the Royal Palace to the Parliamentās Chamber at 10:00 am.
It is the second time such communication technology has been utilized for Parliament state opening because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first livestream feed of his Majestyās Royal Address from the Royal Palace was in May last year (May 7).
Meanwhile, the House will deliberate on the national budget for financial year 2021/ā22 next Monday, May 10.
