The Legislative Assembly of Tonga will resume its proceedings at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, following its adjournment earlier this month on April 9.
The upcoming session will cover a range of matters, including constituency parliamentary reports, annual and committee reports, pending legislation, and other issues awaiting presentation or response in the House.
This sitting period will run until May 14, concluding with a soft closing ceremony to mark the end of the 2024 parliamentary session on May 15.
Parliament will reconvene on May 26 to commence the 2025 session, where the national budget will be discussed and passed before the start of the new financial year on July 1.
