Applications for Practice Parliament for Women close tomorrow

APPLICATIONS for the 2025 Practice Parliament for Women close at 4:30pm tomorrow, Friday 22 August.

The program scheduled for 11–16 September in Nukuʻalofa, aims to encourage women’s participation in politics, build knowledge of parliamentary processes, and foster leadership.

Eligible applicants must be

• Tongan women aged 25 or older,
• fluent in Tongan
• have no criminal record
• must also have lived in their constituency for at least three months AND
• not participated in a previous Women’s Parliament.

Submissions can be delivered in person to the Legislative Assembly, submitted online, or lodged at Constituency Offices.
