Legislative Assembly of Tonga Observes One-Minute Silence in Honour of the Late Dr. Viliami Fukofuka

THIS morning, the Legislative Assembly of Tonga held a one-minute silence to honour the late Dr. Viliami Fukofuka, a distinguished former Member of Parliament who passed away and was laid to rest last week.

Dr. Fukofuka was elected to Parliament as a People Representative of Tongatapu in three consecutive terms, serving a total of nine years.

In a heartfelt tribute, Speaker Lord Fakafanua extended the condolences of the Legislative Assembly to Dr. Fukofuka's widow and family, acknowledging the profound loss to both the nation and the community.

The moment of silence served as a collective expression of respect and remembrance for a man who gave so much to his people.
