Public Accounts Committee public consultation meeting with Ministry of Police
The Legislative Assembly will resume its sittings on March 31st, 2025.
In the meantime, several parliamentary standing committees are still working while the House is not sitting.
Yesterday, Hon. Hu'akavameiliku, Chairman of the Public Accounts Standing Committee, led a series of public consultation meetings with government ministries regarding the submission of the Auditor's Report (April 2021–March 2023) to Parliament.
The consultations began with the His Majesty's Armed Forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Education and Training.
Today, three additional sessions will be held with the Ministry of Justice, the Police, and the Ministry of Tourism. Further discussions are scheduled for tomorrow, with the Auditor General also participating in these consultations.
