THE Legislative Assembly will convene for its 2020/2021 parliamentary session next Tuesday January 12.

 Parliament held its last meeting for 2020 on December 10. Earlier this week , members of the Privilege Standing Committee met on Tuesday to discuss the vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister.

 The no confidence motion against Hon. Pohiva Tu’i’onetoa was submitted into Parliament on December 9 by former Deputy Prime Minister and Tongatapu 2 MP, Hon. Semisi Sika meeting.

 The last no confidence motion tabled in Parliament against the late Prime Minister Hon. ‘Akilisi Pohiva was in February 2017.
