The Tonga Constitutional Day public holiday will be observed in the Kingdom on Monday, November 8.

Tonga’s Constitution Day is held on November 4 each year to commemorate the adoption of the constitution.

The Tongan Constitution is the supreme law of the country. It stipulates the balance of power in the Tongan government and the functions of the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary.

It (Constitution) was enacted by King George Tupou I on November 4, 1875.
