Lord Fakafanua with Elder Ulisses Soares

Upon completion of the Thirtieth Annual International Law and Religion Symposium in Provo, Utah, Lord Fakafanua met with Senior Authorities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake, which was organized in coordination with the Pacific Area Office in Auckland. The Speaker first called on Elder Ulisses Soares, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His Lordship then met with Elder Peter F. Meurs, president of the Pacific Area Presidency, and Elder Taniela B. Wakolo, a member of the Pacific Area Presidency. Discussions explored opportunities for collaboration on humanitarian initiatives for Tonga. Furthermore, Lord Fakafanua visited the Humanitarian, Welfare, and Family History Centers. He also learned about Self Reliance Services and the BYU-Pathway.
