The 2024 parliamentary visit to Niuatoputapu will begin on Thursday, March 6.
This annual constituency visit, originally scheduled for September 2023, had to be postponed due to prior commitments of the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Niua's.
Hon. VÄtau Hui, along with his teamāincluding secretaries Suliana Tuāitupou and Lose Tapuaka from the Legislative Assembly Officeādeparted for Niuatoputapu on the MV Kelesi yesterday.
The parliamentary visit provides the MP with an opportunity to engage with the people of his constituences, discuss key issues affecting their lives, and report back to Parliament.
The first constituency meeting will take place at Falehau on Thursday, March 6, and the visit will conclude on March 22.
During this three-week visit, over 20 meetings are scheduled, including discussions with government ministries, site visits to community projects, road inspections, and tours of the islandās scenic spots.
The team is set to return to Nukuāalofa on March 24.
