Tonga to continue applying International Public Sector Accounting Standards
THE passing of the Public Finance Administration (Accounts) Regulations 2021 in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, 4th August 2022, enables Tonga to continue to be guided by the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) especially with preparation of Government financial statements.
Courts can make an order against revealing victims’ identity of sexual nature offence under the Criminal Offences Acts & other Acts
PRESIDING Judge or Magistrate may or if application made by complainant or the Prosecutor – now can make an order against media’s publication or broadcast of complainant or vulnerable witness identity on Criminal Offences Act or any offence of a sexual nature in other Acts.
